Through the combination of our revolutionary proofing technology and a recent agreement with The Associated Press (AP), Tansa can now offer newspapers and other media companies in the USA a complete text proofing solution.
The Associated Press
Tansa's agreement with The Associated Press means Tansa’s customers in the USA will have the option of including the style and spelling guidelines from the current editions of the AP Stylebook as part of their custom Tansa dictionary.
Online or in print, the AP Stylebook is the essential tool for all writers, editors, students and public relations specialists. The AP Stylebook offers guidelines on spelling, usage, grammar and punctuation, with special sections on business and sports.
Tansa’s developers and Language Department employees are currently working to integrate the AP Stylebook data into the Tansa Text Proofing System. Tansa Systems expects to be able to deliver solutions utilizing the AP Stylebook data in the first half of 2007.
A Complete Dictionary Solution
By combining the data from AP with your publication's unique local words and proper names, we can now deliver to our clients in the USA a custom dictionary that delivers superior results.
For example, a Tansa dictionary can include the following:
- Local style guidelines
- Local words, proper names (people, places, companies, etc.)
- AP Stylebook spelling and style guidelines
No other proofing system available today offers such a complete solution for media companies in the USA.
